In August of 2003, I met Ben Cottrell in my parent's living room . His sister was going to pick us up from school. She could drive; I couldn't. That didn't matter now because Ben got to ride along too (he couldn't drive either. Ha!). I know what you're thinking..."How sweet, they were high school sweet hearts; been together forever". Um...no. Not like that at all actually. As it turns out we were friends, went our separate ways and it wasn't until the Fall of 2008 while we were junior's in college that we met back up. To make a very long, laborious story short, I will skip ahead. We got married in June of 2010 and it has been wedded bliss ever since. Well, sort of. If you have been married any amount of time...oh, say, over ONE day, you will understand that "wedded bliss" is overrated. If you have been married any amount of time though, I hope you also know that "wedded reality" is WAY better. Two imperfect people, who are perfect together. You want to know what I like most about Ben? He is constantly pushing me to be a better person. He is always challenging me in areas of faith, morality, intellect and just plain being a great person. He loves me really well.
Ben and I are currently in the midst of some of the best adventures of our lives! Over the past two years, we have lived in multiple cities all across the nation. I have worked previously as a traveling speech therapist and Ben works remotely as an engineer. I have recently traded in my travel therapy hat, and began working remotely as a tele-therapist. Much like travel therapy, the world of tele-therapy offers an amazing work-life balance. While we have a solid home base these days, we continue to capitalize on our ability to travel frequently while still bringing in an income. We would love to share the specifics of our journey with you, so if you have questions- just ask!
I hope that your will enjoy reading these ramblings of my mind and musings of my heart. I want to share my life with you and I invite you to do the same. Thanks so much for reading.
Welcome.
